Motcombe Methodist Church

The Street, Motcombe, Shaftesbury

You will find a warm welcome within the fellowship at Motcombe whether you are a local resident, a visitor to the Blackmore Vale or are planning to move into the area.

Sunday worship is fairly traditional, but varied and always aims to be uplifting.

These are some of the things that are central to our life and faith:…

  • Pastoral care and support
  • Regular Bible Study and prayer
  • Mission projects – locally and around the world
  • The church hosts a Community Lunch for Senior Citizens
  • Friday Coffee Mornings - a time of warm, informal fellowship for the whole village.  Any money raised is given to charity
  • Links with the Parish Church of St Mary

Situated between Shaftesbury & Gillingham, Motcombe is a friendly village at the heart of the beautiful Blackmore Vale.  There is a pub, a thriving Community Shop, and C of E Primary School. The Village has a population of (approx.) 1500 with a wide variety of local activities and organisations.
