Wincanton

Postcode BA9 9JF
Wincanton Methodist Church is located at the top of Wincanton High Street, on the right, shortly after the turning to the Wincanton Memorial Hall and Car Park.  There is level access direct from the Car Park at the side of the church. Wincanton has had a long association with Methodism; John Wesley visited the town several times between 1762 and 1770. The present building, which replaced an earlier chapel in North Street, opened in 1915; it has been extensively modernised with comfortable seating and has excellent hall and kitchen facilities which are available for hire.

Our Sunday services are at 10.30am and are mostly led by various accredited Local Preachers and retired clergy - See Circuit Plan page for details of planned services
Our Minister-in-Charge is based in Gillingham and leads a service once a month, usually a celebration of Holy Communion. All services are followed by refreshments. We are a small, friendly congregation, always ready to welcome all comers. Requests for prayer can be made on our confidential Prayer Link. We have a collection box for Gillingham Food Bank in our foyer (non-perishables only, with a shelf-life of at least 3months).

The church provides all the usual offices, i.e. Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals. Please contact our Minister-in-Charge, Rev Linda Francis (see below)
Our premises are used for the 'Live at Home' meetings for isolated/lonely elderly folk.
For full details on all activities and contact information, please see our 'Church Events' page.
